Tips of Increasing Height

A presentable height is considered of utmost importance when it comes to evaluating someone’s personality. A person who has a decent height and is a bit taller than others usually stands to gain more attention. It could be in the genes or could be hereditary and differs from person to person. Scientifically speaking, the growth hormone (Somatrotropic hormone), released by the anterior pituitary gland, situated in the brain is responsible for increasing height.
An inactive pituitary gland results in short height (dwarfism) while, an over active pituitary gland results in excessive height (gigantism). Teenagers specially remain worried about their height and constantly try out exercises, height increasing pills, etc for adding the much needed inches to their frame. One needs to understand that not everyone can gain height by using pills and medication as it depends on the body structure of the individual. However, you can check out some useful tips if you are one of those, pondering how to increase height.
Balanced Diet
Yes, we have all heard this one before and keep hearing it till it starts to repeat itself even in dreams! Hate it as much you want, eating a balanced diet ensures that your body gets the right amount of nutrients required for growth of muscles and tissues. Hence, even if it is not in your genes, eating a balanced diet will definitely boost up your height and give you a good over-all personality.
Exercises
Waking up at 6 a.m. and doing rigorous exercises is something that can give many people jitters. But this is actually helpful in adding inches to your height. Start early and do some stretching exercises; make sure that your limbs and spine are stretched properly. Other outdoor activities like cycling, playing tennis and swimming regularly can increase height to quite an extent.

Proper Amount of Sleep

Another cliché in the list, getting right amount of sleep is essential for increasing height and boosting growth. When the brain gets its relaxation, it is in a better condition to release the growth hormone when you are awake. A tired brain may result in an inactive pituitary gland, which in turn may lead to less amount of growth hormone that is released in the body.
Avoid skipping meals and also eating a heavy meal before going to bed. This reduces the brain’s capability to release growth hormones, which is usually at its peak during the first couple of hours of sleep. Avoid intake of toxic substances like drugs, nicotine and alcohol. Believe it or not, it virtually destroys your healthy tissues and retards growth. Have a decent lifestyle and you will see yourself grow taller with every approaching year!
